Embark on a tour of the uniquely preserved medieval castle, which ranks among the most authentic monuments of its kind in the Czech Republic and Europe. The castle allows you to explore not only its architectural development, but above all the real life of its inhabitants – without romantic myths or distortions.
The tour also introduces the principles of heritage conservation and explains why seemingly “empty” interiors are in fact a valuable testimony of history. You will learn how to “read” a historic building and notice details that reveal its story.
This tour also includes a visit to the castle chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary.
The tour route includes climbing stairs through four floors of the castle and is not barrier-free. Visitors with reduced mobility are advised to consider whether the tour is suitable for them.
Please also expect a cooler indoor temperature inside the castle and adjust your clothing accordingly.
Due to the time and content demands of the tour, it is recommended for children aged 10 and above.
